Description
This species of photosynthetic gorgonian is native to both the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic in Florida waters. It features tan-yellow blades that are wide and fleshy with two rows of tan polyps on each blade. The wide blades are unique in that they have a raised rib on each blade. This particular species can be placed next to other gorgonians of the same species in the aquarium if desired. Gorgonians regularly shed tissue to remove buildup of sediment and algae from forming on their skeleton. We offer single specimens mounted on reef plugs that are 4-7" tall.
